Public eating and drinking during daylight hours is restricted (regardless of religion). Many restaurants close or use curtains/partitions until iftar. Delivery usually continues uninterrupted.
Per Visit Dubai: "tipping is appreciated but rarely expected." The 10% service charge on most hotel / sit-down bills usually goes to the business, not the server. A direct cash tip (5–15%) is the only way to reach the staff. Round-up is fine for casual spots and delivery.
