Why this exists
UAE settlement information is surprisingly fragmented. Outdated blog posts, tourism-focused articles, and guides run by specific agencies mix together, so verifying what you actually need takes longer than the bureaucracy itself. This site collects what we've gone through and verified, in one place, in plain language.
Why you can trust it — or at least, why we try
- Every guide cites its sources. Numbers like fees and document requirements link to official UAE pages (ICP, GDRFA, MOHRE, etc.) whenever possible.
- Every guide shows a last-verified date. UAE rules change quarterly; when something was confirmed matters as much as the content itself.
- No ads, affiliates, or referral fees.We don't get paid to recommend specific banks, brokers, or immigration consultants. For sensitive topics like visa and healthcare, commercial incentives quietly erode content neutrality.
- Unverified information stays out.Rumor or blog-hearsay doesn't make it in until we confirm it.
What this site isn't
- Not a legal or immigration consultancy. For complex personal situations, consult an official typing centre or a licensed advisor.
- Not a tourism guide. No camels, no Burj Khalifa — just practical information for people who've decided to move.
- Not a flawless official document. If you spot an error, please tell us (see below).
What's next — a Wiki
Right now a single person writes this. But the site was designed from day one as a "wiki by many who've done the move."Soon each guide section will accept edit suggestions — anyone can say "this doesn't match my experience" or "here's a step I want to add," and go through an approval flow with visible contributor credit and version history.
